Fraunhofer IML initiated the eCMR project within the Silicon Economy initiative and has played a key role in its technical architecture and development. Together with the Open Logistics Foundation and its industry working group, we have contributed to the development and further evolution of the open source OLF-eCMR Toolbox. Our expertise covers eCMR processes, software architecture, API integration, electronic seals (eSeal), and the technical requirements for deploying and operating eCMR solutions.
Services
Support for companies taking their first steps with the OLF-eCMR Toolbox, from technical orientation and architecture decisions to API integration, pilot implementation and initial operational use.
- Introduction and onboarding: Guidance on the OLF-eCMR Toolbox, its capabilities and potential use cases.
- Implementation support: Technical guidance during initial implementation and configuration.
- Architecture and technical consulting: Advice on solution architecture, interfaces, deployment and operational aspects.
- eSeal and document integrity: Technical guidance on electronic seals, document integrity and seal verification workflows.
- First-use support: Assistance with initial pilot projects, testing and the transition towards productive use.
Outlook: Research and industry collaboration
Fraunhofer IML will continue its research and development activities in the digitalisation of transport documents across different modes of transport, including eCIM for rail freight. We are particularly interested in engaging with early cooperation partners from industry to explore innovative use cases, leverage the latest technologies and demonstrate their benefits for logistics in general. Together, we aim to develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, interoperability and digital collaboration across supply chains.
