Legal Circle

The Legal Circle (LC) brings together legal experts from OLF member companies to collaborate in an impact-driven expert platform. As part of the Open Logistics Foundation’s cross-disciplinary approach to digitalisation, the LC helps create the legal conditions for developing, adopting, and scaling trusted digital solutions across the logistics industry.

Digitalising logistics is a team effort! And legal must be part of that team from the start. With the Legal Circle, we apply the OLF’s collaborative approach to law: instead of solving the same legal questions company by company, we turn shared challenges into practical, reusable guidance that helps the industry innovate, adopt and scale.

Our focus

Digitalisation in logistics is a team effort across technical, organisational, and legal disciplines. And, as digital innovation accelerates, legal certainty is brought into focus as a key enabler of successful implementation across the industry.

The goal of the Legal Circle is to provide the legal foundation for this work. It brings together legal expertise to identify emerging legal challenges, facilitate cross-company exchange, and develop shared legal understanding, practical guidance, and common frameworks.

Working alongside the Open Logistics Foundation’s initiatives, the LC supports the legally sound implementation of digital solutions developed by the OLF community. Greater legal certainty can help accelerate implementation while creating greater alignment across the industry.

Who should join us?

The LC is searching for legal experts who want to actively shape the legal foundations for digitalisation in logistics.

We welcome representatives from:

  • In-house legal teams
  • Transport law firms
  • Digitalisation regulation experts

Participation is open to representatives of Open Logistics Foundation member companies.
