Pilot project with Dachser, Rhenus and Fraunhofer IML. With the electronic consignment note (eCMR), the Open Logistics Foundation wants to create a standard for electronic transport documents. In a European Working Group, the Foundation’s founders Dachser, Rhenus and Fraunhofer IML, together with other members, have developed an industry-wide eCMR standard based on open source and blockchain. The community speakers delivered the proof of concept at a press conference on 18 October at the German Logistics Congress (Deutscher Logistik-Kongress, DLK) 2023 in Berlin.

Pilot mit Dachser, Rhenus und Fraunhofer IML. Mit dem digitalen Frachtbrief (eCMR) will die Open Logistics Foundation einen Standard für elektronische Transportdokumente schaffen. In einer europäischen Working Group haben die Stiftungsgründer Dachser, Rhenus und Fraunhofer IML mit weiteren Mitgliedern einen branchenweiten eCMR-Standard auf Open-Source- und Blockchain-Basis entwickelt. Den Proof of Concept lieferten die Sprecher der Community im Rahmen einer Pressekonferenz am 18. Oktober auf dem Deutschen Logistik-Kongress (DLK) 2023 in Berlin.

With a significant increase in the number of member organisations, the Open Logistics Foundation has made the transition from the build-up to the growth phase earlier than expected. As agreed upon already when the Foundation was established in December 2021, this transition is accompanied by a reorganisation of the Foundation’s Board of Directors: Jochen Thewes, CEO of DB Schenker, hands over the chair to Dr. Stephan Peters, a member of the Board of Rhenus.

Mit einer deutlichen Steigerung ihrer Mitgliederzahl ist die Open Logistics Foundation früher als erwartet von der Aufbau- in die Wachstumsphase übergegangen. Für diesen Zeitpunkt hatten die Mitglieder des Vorstands bereits bei der Gründung eine neue Aufgabenverteilung vorgesehen,
die nun wirksam wird: Jochen Thewes, CEO von DB Schenker, übergibt Dr. Stephan Peters, Mitglied des Vorstands der Rhenus Gruppe, den Vorsitz im Vorstand der Open Logistics Foundation.
