Communication Circle

Open source is a technical and niche topic. One that needs effective communication to share why this work matters, what is being achieved, and the people behind the developments.

As part of becoming an Open Logistics Foundation member, new members are introduced to our approach through a communications onboarding. From there, at least one representative is invited to join the Communications Circle.

The Communications Circle provides a space for members to exchange on communications and coordinate where useful. It helps us amplify the work of our members, strengthening our shared communications.

Through the CC, we showcase the work of the Open Logistics Foundation and its members — giving visibility to the value of our colleagues’ work, strengthening our community, and advocating for greater connectivity and openness across the industry.

We share activities, expertise, and stories through a range of internal and external communications, including:

• Press releases and shared announcements
• Updates from member companies on projects and activities
• Expert articles and contributions
• Spotlight sessions featuring members and their work
• Expert blogs and other community content

These efforts bring the community’s work to a wider audience and create more opportunities for our members to be seen and heard.

The Communications Circle meets once a quarter in a virtual meeting.

The CC brings together communications professionals and other interested representatives from member companies. Whether you have a dedicated communications team or not, the circle offers a space to exchange ideas, learn from others, and share your company’s activities and expertise.
