From idea to active Standalone Project
Projects move through a three-step process before their open source component becomes part of the Standalone Project library.
Candidate proposal
An initial idea for a new standalone project that was not developed by the Open Logistics Foundation.
Becomes a Sandbox project when candidates are proposed by one or more OLF members and approved by the Logistical Technical Steering Committees.
Sandbox project
Pre-release projects, not yet official standalone projects of the Open Logistics Foundation, with their own temporary and private repository for development.
Becomes an Active project when administrative, technical, documentation, and compliance criteria are fulfilled.
Active project
Official standalone projects of the Open Logistics Foundation, publicly and freely available for members and non-members.
Active projects can transition to:
- Graduated projects
- Archived projects (after 12+ months of inactivity, e.g., no maintainer, downloads contributions, or issue activity)
