Open Chain and Friends 2026

3 days 100% focus on open source!

Open Chain and Friends 2026

For the second time, the Open Chain Project and the FOSS-LÄND Community invite everyone interested in open source to a share-and-learn event in Stuttgart.

Open Source offers significant advantages for businesses, but effectively managing it with your developers, vendors, or within your software supply chain can be challenging. During this event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from industry peers as they share their open source processes and best practices.
  • Experience demonstrations from tool creators showcasing automated compliance solutions.
  • Participate in technical sessions focused on overcoming common challenges in the field.
  • Discover available support options from both the community and government resources.

From the OLF, Thorsten Hülsmann, CFO, will be joining the event as a panellist during the “Digital Sovereignty & Open Source in Business in the context of Supply Chain (Chances and) Risk Management” session in the “Digital Sovereignty and Open Source in Business” stream track. Joined by Julian Schauder, Alexander Röck and Rüdiger Heins, they will provide different perspectives from the public and private sectors, from small to large organisations, and from the business and open source sides. Be sure to join their session on Tuesday, 24.03.2026 at 11:00.

If you are interested in participating, learn more about the registration and agenda on their website.
