What to expect at OSID 2026: Connecting open source logistics

The Open Source Innovation Days 2026 agenda is now live! The event brings together leading voices from logistics and open source to discuss digital sovereignty, new developments in regulations, and commercial open source. Alongside keynotes, panels and networking opportunities, this year’s event introduces a new collaborative format focused on connecting Working Groups and strengthening interoperability across logistics.

The Open Source Innovation Days (OSID), the annual member summit of the Open Logistics Foundation, will return for its fourth year from 01–02 July 2026 at the Spielfeld Digital Hub in Berlin.

As in previous years, the first day will bring together voices from across logistics and open source for a series of keynotes, panels and discussions. This year’s programme is organised around three central themes: digital sovereignty, new developments in logistics and regulation, and commercial open source.

Sachiko Muto, Chair of OpenForum Europe and Senior Researcher at RISE, and Jordan Maris, EU Policy Analyst at the Open Source Initiative will join as keynote speakers. Their talks will explore Europe’s open source momentum, as well as the role of open source software and AI in strengthening tech’s sovereignty.

The agenda also includes panel discussions on topics such as OSPOs as a path to sovereignty and the evolving landscape of commercial open source. Additional sessions will provide insights into Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance and the strategic importance of standardisation.

This year’s second day introduces a new format. While past editions focused on hands-on workshops, OSID 2026 will place the Foundation’s Working Groups at the centre of the programme.

Building on the collaborative spirit of regular Working Group meetings, members will come together to explore how projects across different groups can connect more closely in the future. The aim is to identify overlaps that can strengthen interoperability and uncover new opportunities for collaboration across the logistics ecosystem.

The second day will also feature a legal update from Dr. David Saive, alongside an “Ask the Experts” session where members can exchange directly with specialists from a range of fields.

Beyond the formal programme, OSID 2026 will provide extensive opportunities for networking and discussion, whether reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting new members from across the Foundation community.

OSID 2026 is open to all employees of member companies of the Open Logistics Foundation. Regardless of role or area of expertise, the event offers space to learn more about the Foundation’s work, exchange perspectives, and explore open source innovation in logistics.

Registration is open on Eventbrite. Please note that both days require separate registration.
