The Board of Directors of the Support Association is now complete with four members: Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Michael Henke, Chairman of the Board, Markus Sandbrink, Treasurer of the Board, and Alexander Garbar and Dieter Sellner as Board members. Together they are responsible for representing the interests of the companies organised in the support association, confirming memberships and are multipliers of the open source spirit.

With their extensive experience and passion for creating de-facto standards for logistics, Alexander Garbar and Dieter Sellner bring fresh perspectives and invaluable expertise to our strategic decision-making process. Their diverse backgrounds and innovative thinking will undoubtedly strengthen the Open Logistics Foundation’s initiatives.

“Logistics is characterized by small and medium-sized companies that often do not have the capacity to dedicate themselves to the topic of digitization or to implement costly software solutions for each customer or partner. Therefore, it is a great pleasure for me to jointly develop standardized software solutions and make them available to all under the Foundation’s umbrella. This is the only way to achieve rapid and sustainable digitization of the logistics sector.” Says Alexander Garbar.

Dieter Sellner adds that “In the Open Logistics Foundation’s open source community, competitors in business join their forces aiming for creating data and software standards beneficial for the whole industry. Where else do you have the opportunity to team-up in creating software standards, and at the same time trying to outperform the competition by using the same jointly developed standards? It helps to bring out the best in all of us.”

The Open Logistics e. V. continues to support the Foundation and are responsible for the facilitation of the Foundation’s purpose based on coorperation agreements. Interested companies from the logistics and supply chain industry are invited to become members of the Open Logistics e. V. in supporting the activities of the Open Logistics Foundation, by advocating for their project ideas or engaging in the ongoing projects and ideation topics.
