Jointly developing ideas
Open Ideation Workshop.
The annual Open Ideation Workshop is a key anchor in the ideation process of the Open Logisticss Foundation and marks the starting point for new Working Groups and projects. Organised by the Foundation´s Head Office, our members discuss industry-wide pain points that they face in their companies, connect with others who share the same challenges, and begin to shape initial ideas for how to solve them collaboratively.
Driving change through exchange
The process of initiating new projects within the Open Logistics Foundation is a collaborative, member-driven journey. While our members can propose new topics to the Head Office at any time, the annual Ideation Workshop offers a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas in person, develop a shared understanding of key issues, and strengthen our joint commitment to driving digitalisation and standardisation across the logistics industry. Important: When identifying challenges and pain points, we always focus on the commodity-level. That is, services or processes that don’t differentiate companies from each other.
What makes the Open Ideation Workshop unique:
- A dynamic mix of longstanding and new members – all united by a shared motivation to advance open source solutions in logistics
- A strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation, aimed at developing impactful, industry-wide standards under the umbrella of the Open Logistics Foundation
- Open and constructive discussions on a wide range of current challenges and potential project ideas
- Focused group work and brainstorming sessions, designed to deepen the understanding of key topics and foster the joint development of solution approaches
- Presentation of ideas to the full assembly, with a clear emphasis on identifying those topics with the greatest potential for scalable, collaborative implementation within the Foundation’s ecosystem
