International Supply Chain Conference 2022
International Supply Chain Conference 2022
The International Supply Chain Congress has been the networking event for all top executives in logistics and supply chain management for decades. The international community meets this year from 19 to 21 October in Berlin to exchange knowledge and experiences, to learn from the best and to define the logistics agenda for the coming years: More than 3,000 participants from over 40 nations come together in real and digital terms.
The Open Logistics Foundation is part of the “Silicon Economy” Lounge at Marlene Restaurant. The Foundation´s Managing Directors are available for meetings and discussions. Many of the partners of the Foundation are also part of the event.
During the closing plenary on Friday, 21 October, from 12 – 14, Jochen Thewes, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Board of Management, Schenker AG, and Christa Koenen, Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIO/CDO) and Member of the Board of Management, Schenker AG, will speak about “One Year Open Logistics Foundation – Digitisation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management on the Basis of Open Source”. The Open Logistics Foundation was officially founded during the International Supply Chain Conference last year. The session will focus on where the Foundation stands one year after its establishment and which milestones have been reached. Jochen Thewes and Christa Koenen will be the plenary’s opening guests from 12 – 12:30.
In 2022, the economic sector of logistics and thus also the International Supply Chain Congress are more relevant than ever. In two years of the pandemic, it has become clear to many people, even outside the logistics sector, what a significant contribution logistics makes to security of supply. BVL has therefore chosen “Supply Chains matter!” as its annual and congress motto in order to underline the relevance and solution competence of the economic sector with ‘healthy’ self-confidence.
